1. Overview

Welcome to Body Olive. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, booking system, online store, services, and products (the “Services”). Our website and store are powered by Shopify to ensure secure, seamless transactions and a reliable customer experience.
By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms in full.

3. Eligibility

You confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or

  • You have legal guardian consent if under 18, and

  • You have the capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Services & Products

Body Olive offers:

  • Custom-blended spray tanning services

  • At-home self-tanning products

  • Digital and in-person customer support for best results
    We may update or modify services at any time without notice.

5. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on the Body Olive website—including text, imagery, branding, graphics, and design—is owned by Body Olive and protected by intellectual property law.
You must not copy, reproduce, or distribute website content without permission.

6. Appointment Booking

All appointments must be booked in advance. Confirmation is sent via email and/or SMS. You are responsible for ensuring your appointment details are correct.

7. Payments & Deposits

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Remaining balance is due at your appointment. Online purchases must be paid in full at checkout. Prices may change without notice.

8. Cancellation, No-Show & Late Arrival Policy

To allow all clients access to appointments:

  • Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours before your appointment.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

  • No-shows will require full payment upfront before new bookings can be made.

  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened service or rescheduling, and deposits may be forfeited if the appointment cannot be completed.
    These policies ensure fairness and protect appointment availability.

9. Health & Safety

Clients must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, skin sensitivities, or relevant information before their service. Body Olive reserves the right to refuse service if it may compromise safety.
Patch tests are available upon request. Although rare, allergic reactions can occur. Body Olive is not responsible for reactions unless caused by product defect.

10. Results & Variability

Spray tan results may vary based on:

  • Skin type

  • Preparation

  • Aftercare

  • Medications

  • Hormones

  • Lifestyle and environment
    Following preparation and aftercare instructions is essential for best results.

11. Aftercare Guidance

Aftercare instructions are provided online and during appointments. Incorrect aftercare may affect results and longevity.

12. Shipping Policy

Orders are processed within three business days. Shipping timeframes vary based on location. Customers must provide correct shipping details. Body Olive is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect information or courier issues.

13. Returns & Refunds

Under Australian Consumer Law, returns are accepted only for:

  • Faulty or defective products

  • Incorrect items received

    Conditions:

  • Product must be unused and in original packaging

  • Returned within 14 days

  • Proof of purchase required
    Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Return shipping is non-refundable unless the error is ours.

14. Liability

By using our Services and products, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with cosmetic tanning. Body Olive is not liable for:

  • Adverse reactions

  • Incorrect product application

  • Issues caused by ignoring preparation or aftercare guidelines
    Our services do not replace medical advice. Body Olive is not responsible for issues arising from third-party platforms such as Shopify, payment processors, or shipping carriers.

15. Packages, Loyalty Programs & Promotions

Special offers, promotions, and loyalty rewards may carry additional terms. These will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase. Offers cannot be combined unless specified.

16. Consumer Guarantees

All products and services comply with Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to remedies, including refunds or replacements, in the case of major faults.

17. Photography & Media Consent

With your permission, Body Olive may capture photos or videos during appointments for promotional purposes. Consent may be withdrawn at any time via email.

18. Service Refusal

Body Olive reserves the right to refuse service for inappropriate behaviour, unsafe conditions, or failure to follow studio policies.

19. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid for the period stated at purchase. Expiry dates cannot be extended.

20. Changes to Terms

Body Olive may update these Terms at any time. Changes apply immediately once posted to the website. Continued use indicates acceptance of updates.
